Mongolian and Manchu, languages that are mother tongues of two neighboring northern nationalities and have close relation with each other, absorbed words from the language branches around them along the historical evolution and distinctively borrowed words from Sanskrit during the spread of Buddhist culture.Previous researches indicated that these loanwords appeared after the rise of the Mongol Empire in the 13th century. Now my investigation into previous studies brings a discovery that the historical process of borrowing words from Sanskrit can date back to the Turkish Era in the 8th century.
