Abstract | The authors propose a L3 defect photonic crystal nanolaser embedded in flexible medium for nanoscale strain detections. A theoretical optical strain sensitivity of similar to 4 nm per epsilon (1% strain) in the x-direction and similar to 3 nm per e (1% strain) in the y-direction is predicted. |
